// Beehive Design Collective (Maine)

After 9 years of research, story-collecting, and illustration, the Bees will present their newest massive and finely illustrated info-graphic ‘¡MesoAmérica Resiste!’, which depicts the historical struggle of Mexican people against destructive global development projects. This is a challenging socio-political story-telling like no other, and a feast to the eyes.

From Friday evening’s amazing Cabaret of readings by

Colin Smith, Althea Guiboche, Niigaanwiwedam James Sinclair,

Shayla Elizabeth, and Marie Annharte Baker – to the last workshop

on Sunday afternoon (Art vs Capitalism) we shared blood, toil, tears,

sweat, and laughter – and rocked this town with Anarchism on display!

One more workshop for Sunday Oct 26

There’s always room for one more right?  We are putting together a discussion on race and racism for Sunday afternoon with our visiting writer,  Neal Hall.  (he is the author of both “Nigger for Life” and “Winter’s A-Coming Still”)   CKUW News Director Michael Welch has agreed to facilitate this workshop which he would title “The Dream of Equality in a Post-Racist Era”   THIS WILL HAPPEN TODAY AT 3 PM, IN A ROOM OFF THE MAIN TABLING AREA IN THE BULMAN CENTRE.
